About 1975

1975 is a new wine bar and gourmet grazing platter concept located in a quaint courtyard - Gobbitts Yard in the heart of Woodbridge.

Founded by owner Clare Swann in the Spring of 2022 it was a formation of ideas and tick boxes - a great location, locally supplied fine foods and drinks, a beautiful interior, a cosy outdoor area and an excellent, personal service.

Good times

After Covid, Clare wanted to bring people back together, to enjoy socialising again.

To chat and laugh over sharing platters and wines that have been specially selected by Flunders Wines to pair with the menu to enhance the customer’s dining experience. Clare also wants to create memorable moments and little pockets of magic, so as the business builds look out for spontaneous entertainment and pop up events.

Great values

As well as creating a unique bar and restaurant, Clare wanted to add values to her business , such as Sustainability - supporting and using local suppliers and producers wherever possible. Eco - using eco-friendly products, minimising food waste and recycling packaging. Ethical - fair pay for all staff that’s above the minimum wage and supporting two local charities close to Clare’s heart - JDRF and Suffolk Mind.
